A simply gorgeous day creating a quirky patchwork lampshade from vintage textiles & haberdashery.

Using old dressmaking patterns, vintage knitting patterns and old magazine papers as well as stitched table linens and other vintage fabrics you will create a gorgeous patchwork  base for your lampshade. The materials are washed and worn, a little bit shabby – adding to their charm! Further embellishment will be added with haberdashery, machine & hand stitch. I will then show you how to assemble your lampshade and more handstitching can be added.

I will provide all the materials needed – including a 20cm drum lampshade making kit – but you may wish to bring some of your own bits & pieces to make it even more personal. I’ll give you ideas of what to bring on booking.

The lampshade measures 20cm diameter and is 18cm high and is perfect for a table lamp.

Please note that it is not suitable for a ceiling pendant.
