A day of hand stitching with a difference creating an “embroidered sampler” from repurposed wood. You will create your own individual patches embellished with your own small treasures all hand stitched into place. Your patches will then all be stitched together to create your unique piece. By the end of the day you will feel as at home using the drill as you do your needle and thread.
I will provide the wood already cut to size for your “patches” but you will be asked to bring your own small treasures. You could make a sampler based on your favourite book or story with a collection of related bits & pieces, or a sampler based around your family or childhood. You could bring along the contents of your granny’s sewing box or small bits from granpa’s tool shed. Or you could just use a collection of little unrelated bits & pieces that you have collected together because “one day you will do something with them”.
I will give you suggestions on booking.
