A day of hand stitching with a difference creating a row of wooden ‘tenements’ from repurposed wood.

Inspired by the tenements in Edinburgh Old Toun and with thoughts of ‘streets I have loved’ uppermost in your mind, you will design your own row of tenements embellished with vintage papers, fabrics and other small treasures all hand stitched into place. Your houses will then all be stitched together to create your unique piece. We can include house numbers, street names and other personal details.

Before you can begin to stitch, tiny holes must be drilled into the wood. By the end of the day you will feel as at home using the drill as you do your needle and thread.

I will provide the wood already cut to size for your ‘tenements’ and all the materials required but to make your piece even more personal you may wish to bring along some of your own small treasures to include.

I will give you suggestions on booking.
